These 'DVD Hard Cases' seem to sell for just a few bucks less than boxed versions of games. It was cheaper I think, by a few dollars. In any case, I picked up the uncensored version of The Witcher. and of course then I'll still have to wait until the price drops.

I really wanted Mass Effect, but I'm biding my time until (and if) a PC port becomes available. But I was looking for some kind of RPG type of game as I had been over indulging the FPS interest and I also wanted something a little different. Typically I like to wait for prices to drop before I pickup a title. So this is perhaps the third game this year I bought new, the others being Valve's Orange Box and Crysis. Fixes for receiving damage from Striga while being far away. Grass and small stones being multiplied - fixed. Final fixes for weapons disappearing from enemies’ hands. Motion blur effect won't stay active despite Blizzard potion wearing off - drinking, then changing location, then cutscene. The game can handle broken savegames now - it returns to main menu. Dandelion's music won't be 'echoed' while changing location twice. Now you can't attack neutral NPCs if you input the second (etc.) sword sequence in them, while first attacking a hostile. The game won't make an autosave if Geralt has an effect preventing him from talking (like knockdown, stun, push) - the result would be no talking at all for the rest of the game. Savegame files fixes - some irrelevant information was sometimes generated inside.

Quest now won't update when Geralt is dead causing multiple problems. Some cursor fixes connected with finishers in tight places. Fix for rare 'red rectangle' effect on loading bar. Another portion of stability improvements. Few minor text fixes for all languages. Fixed problems with Alvin's spawn (Act 1). Fixes for a disappearing enemy in quest Haunted House (Act2). Fixes for some items to be found in Fields (Act 4). Fixes for Alchemist in manufacture giving quest items to Geralt (Act 3). Fixes for usable doors on the swamps (Act 5). Fixes for Alina not being at her home when she should (Act 4). Overall I was pretty happy with my ending and I didn't feel like running through it again. I killed the frightener, spared the witch, gave the supplies to the squirrels, saved zoltan, paired with Sieg to kill the thing in the sewers, Let the werewolf live, helped sieg during the robbery after first trying to negotiate, let blue eyes live, saved thaler, stayed neutral during murky waters hostaging, chose shani, saved adda, and killed the king of the wild hunt (lol igni and fast). What I also loved about this game was that if you talked to EVERYONE you never missed a side quest (Which I checked a guide later to find I had done them all) I thought it was funny that you could rob people while they were in their house and they didn't care with the exception of one old crone. It didn't really matter by that point anyways because I couldn't really find places to put bronze points since they were mostly full. and didn't realize until around then about the different tiers of the talent tree (Knockdown I, II, III) being for different combo stages, ugh. I think I was around 32-35 at the end of the game. I loved the gambling mini game, and playing the king in his room was badass.

I loved the art in the loading screens and the music really set the mood. I think the movies (Like the ending with the assassination attempt) were made extremely well in terms of quality design. Having played both this and torment, I have to say both have their moments.
